James River Chapter
An interest group that was sponsored and well prepared by Past National President Melvina Herbert (with the assistance of Mavis Brooks and Lydia Toliver), the James River Chapter was inducted on December 14, 2024, in Norfolk, VA. Past National President Herbert gave the ladies the nickname “Angels”. It stuck and we are the James River Angels.
Our officers are:

Also inducted were: Trina Glover, Cameka Gray, and Shamere Tyler. Our focus will be the 6 Dream Initiatives.
President’s Message
I am so humbled and elated to be able to lead this group of ladies as we serve the communities that are along the James River. Our brand new chapter embraces the Dream Initiative and we are already impacting the area. Our seniors, our youth, our community are all waiting and our sleeves are rolled up; we are James River Angels.
