Hendersonville Area Chapter

The Hendersonville Area Chapter of Les Gemmes, Incorporated was established on September 21, 2021, under the umbrella of the national organization founded in Norfolk, Virginia in 1955. Our chapter began with a dedicated group of vision-driven women committed to service, leadership, cultural enrichment, and community empowerment.

From its inception, the Hendersonville Area Chapter has worked to create meaningful programs, uplift families, and strengthen the communities we serve. Our monthly chapter meetings are designed to foster connection, promote accountability, and ensure strong leadership as we continue to advance the national mission of Les Gemmes, Incorporated.

President’s Message

Greetings and welcome to the Hendersonville Area Chapter of Les Gemmes, Incorporated.

It is my honor to serve as the 2nd President of this remarkable chapter. Chartered on October 24, 2021, our chapter continues to grow in purpose, presence, and impact. Though we are a small chapter, our commitment to service, sisterhood, and community excellence remains strong.

Les Gemmes, Incorporated was founded on a vision of uplifting others through purposeful action, personal development, and intentional service. Here in the Hendersonville Area, we proudly carry that vision forward through our programs, fundraising initiatives, and partnerships with organizations that strengthen and support the lives of those around us.

As we move through this term, my focus is on rebuilding engagement, renewing our enthusiasm, and recommitting ourselves to the meaningful work that brought each of us into this sisterhood. Every member plays a vital role, and together, we have the power to shine brightly and make a lasting difference in our community.

Thank you for visiting our page and supporting the work of our chapter. We invite you to stay connected, follow our events, and join us as we continue to serve with intention, compassion, and excellence.

Literary Arts & Reading Initiative

The Hendersonville Area Chapter of Les Gemmes, Incorporated is dedicated to promoting literacy and a love of reading within our community.

Each year—and several times throughout the year—our members visit local schools to read to students of all ages, supporting both academic growth and positive engagement with literature.

In addition to our school visits, we host ongoing book drives, ensuring that children have access to books they can enjoy and take home. To date, our chapter has donated over 300 books to students across the Middle Tennessee area.

Through these continuous literary arts initiatives, we remain committed to inspiring young minds, supporting education, and strengthening the communities we proudly serve.

Community Blessing Bag Initiative

The Hendersonville Area Chapter of Les Gemmes, Incorporated is committed to meeting real needs within our community. This season, our Economic Assistance Committee and Domestic Violence Committeeworked together to create Blessing Bags for individuals and families throughout Middle Tennessee.

Each bag was filled with essential winter items—resources that many in our community may struggle to afford during the colder months. These Blessing Bags were donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Church Outreach Ministry, an organization that provides vital support and services to underprivileged individuals.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and uplift our neighbors, and we are proud that these Blessing Bags offered comfort, care, and hope to those who needed it most.

Civic Engagement

The Hendersonville Area Chapter of Les Gemmes, Incorporated proudly celebrates our member, Dr. Lois Jordan, whose groundbreaking service was recently recognized with the dedication of a Tennessee highway in her name.

Dr. Jordan’s legacy as a trailblazer in civic leadership reflects the very values our chapter upholds—community service, education, and meaningful engagement in public life.
