Greater Greenville Chapter

The Greater Greenville Chapter received its charter on March 2, 2024. Regina Branch Edmonds, the oldest daughter of the late founder, Queenie L Branch, established the chapter in Greenville, North Carolina. The idea to start a chapter was inspired in memory of Regina’s mother. Regina Edmonds was initially a member of the Norfolk Chapter before relocating to North Carolina. As an associate member, she began the process to organize an interest group in August of 2023. The mentoring chapter is Tar River located in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

The Greater Greenville Charter members are (in alphabetical order) Wendy Alston, Andrea Bristol, Latoya Brown, Mandy Dupree, Regina Edmonds, Rva Faison, Cynthia Gaskins, Michelle Hairston, Camille harvey, Trina Johnson, Mary Krieger, Teresa Newman, Charmaine Smith, Mildred Sneed and Leketia Vines.

The Greater Greenville Chapter supports the Greenville Community Crossroads Center for the Homeless, Horizons of Pitt County North Carolina and Local Volunteer Fire Department, Center for Family Violence Prevention of Pitt County, Pitt County Council on Aging, and the Boys and Girls Club of Ayden and Farmville NC.

Chapter President’s Message

Welcome to the Greater Greenville Chapter of Les Gemmes Inc. webpage. We are delighted you have stopped by to visit and read about us. Greater Greenville is the newest chapter in our great organization. We received our charter during the 2023-2024 program year.  As a recently established chapter we look forward to fulfilling the national initiatives as we strive to build, support, and transform our local communities. Our members are a committed group eager to see what’s ahead and excited to be a part of what the future holds. Thank you for visiting our page and sharing in our celebration as a new chapter in Eastern North Carolina.

  • October – Prepared Toiletry Bags for the Women at the Greenville Community Crossroads Center
  • November – Volunteer at the Eastern Pines Fire Department Barbecue Dinner Sale Annual Event
    • Prepare 70 lunches for the Community Crossroads Center

December – Take unwrapped games to the Boys and Girls Club of Ayden

Christmas Essay Contest for participating students of Horizons of Pitt County North Carolina
