Capital Metro Area Chapter (CMAC)
On October 25, 2014, after having met the requirements of a Les Gemmes Interest Group under the sponsorship of the Baltimore County Chapter, 22 women were inducted into Les Gemmes, Inc. as chartering members of Capital Metro Area Chapter (CMAC.) Former National President Edwina led the chartering service.

Girls of Outstanding Distinction (GOOD) Mentoring Program
Chapter Program
CMAC’S mission for the program is To Empower To Be The Best That They Can Be.
Target Grades: 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Girls
Target Ages: 10 years – 13 years old.
Outreach
• CMAC has adopted Drew Freeman Middle School in support of CMAC’s Back to School initiative where we provide school supplies, backpacks, and in some instances uniforms.
• CMAC partners with the Prince George’s County Department of Social Services Adopt-a-Family Program for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays
• CMAC has partnered with and donated to the Prince George’s County Family Justice Center. The chapter has donated a stainless steel refrigerator, commercial shredder, and gift cards.
• CMAC partnered with the Portsmouth Chapter to exchange Easter baskets and Mother’s and Father’s Day gift baskets. CMAC and the Portsmouth chapter have adopted an assisted living center and retirement home in support of their chapter’s Community Outreach efforts. The Portsmouth Chapter sent Easter baskets to the residents of Woodmore House Assisted Living Upper Marlboro, MD. In exchange, CMAC distributed Mother’s and Father’s Day gift boxes to seniors at Autumn’s Retirement Home in Portsmouth, VA.
• CMAC partnered with the Zonta Club of Mid-Maryland in support of The International Day of the Girl
